Climate Fresk Workshop in Ho Chi Minh City | Facilitated by Shalyn Wilkins and Chris Lucas
Drawing on collective intelligence, Climate Fresk is a playful workshop to learn about the complex links between the causes and consequences of climate change. Our event in Ho Chi Minh City is facilitated by Shalyn and Chris - two cyclists from the UK currently cycling around Southeast Asia to raise awareness of climate change.
In the face of increasingly complex climate change and the need for action, enhancing individual understanding of climate science is the first foundation that needs to be built. That is why the Climate Fresk association was established.
Instead of simply explaining theories, the Climate Fresk workshop has engaged over 1.5 million participants worldwide through interactive and exciting games designed based on the scientific reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). These games make it easier for participants to access scientific knowledge, encouraging them to come up with solutions while exchanging ideas with climate experts and facilitators. This approach motivates individuals to take action for the environment as a whole.
Following the success of the workshop at Toong Samsenthai, two representatives from Climate Fresk, Shalyn Wilkins and Chris Lucas, will continue this positive journey by spreading its values to the community at Toong Pham Ngoc Thach. This gathering will be an opportunity for us to share and learn valuable knowledge together. It is a chance to further enrich our understanding and make a positive impact.

WORKSHOP FACILITATORS
Shalyn Wilkins and Chris Lucas, two passionate individuals based in the UK, are actively involved in the climate tech industry. With a deep-rooted commitment to addressing environmental challenges, they have taken on the role of facilitators for the transformative Climate Fresk workshops.
But their journey doesn't stop there. Embarking on an extraordinary adventure, Shalyn and Chris are currently cycling through the breathtaking landscapes of Southeast Asia for a remarkable six-month journey. With their hearts set on making a positive impact, Shalyn and Chris have set out to spread the message of climate consciousness by organizing Climate Fresk workshops in every country they visit along their route. Their journey is a testament to their unwavering dedication to our planet and the belief that every step, or rather, every pedal, counts.
Prior to their ambitious tour, they have already conducted six successful workshops and engaged in various Climate Fresk activities back in their hometown of Bristol. As facilitators, Shalyn and Chris embody the spirit of innovation and collaboration, fostering an environment where ideas flourish and solutions are born.
In addition, the workshop will also be supported and co-facilitated in both Lao and English by Vilayvone Sisavath - a professional Environmental Consultant from Laos.
