Toong and Autumn Meeting: When Cinema Finds Its “Home”
Over nine years of partnership, the enduring bond between Toong and Autumn Meeting (Gap Go Mua Thu) has been rooted in a shared belief: art possesses the power to awaken kindness and shape enduring values.
A Foundation for the Next Generation
Autumn Meeting originated from a pure aspiration: filmmakers needed a dedicated space to genuinely connect. In 2013, director Phan Dang Di and producer Tran Thi Bich Ngoc launched the initiative with just 12 students in a heritage house in Hoi An. More than a decade later, the program has evolved into a launchpad for hundreds of talents each season, expanding its reach from Vietnam to South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan.

“Our greatest achievement is connecting cinema lovers within a familial atmosphere,” director Phan Dang Di once shared.
Choosing to accompany Autumn Meeting since 2017, Toong has been a constant presence throughout the talents’ developmental journey. We take pride in witnessing emerging artists such as Do Nhat Hoang, Ngoc Xuan, Quang Trung, Tran Phong, Trang Hy, and Tran Quang Dai freely shape their artistic identities before bringing their unique colors to the cinematic world.

Spreading Faith in the Good
This April, that artistic current once again flows through Toong. The casting session for the Acting Class—part of the Talent Incubation program—unfolded in a truly remarkable atmosphere.
Under the keen observation of director Phan Dang Di, actress Hong Anh, and director Trinh Dinh Le Minh, unpolished gems gradually began to shine. The casting room at Toong 126 Minh Khai (Saigon) was enveloped in absolute concentration—a space that witnessed the most authentic ambitions of youth seamlessly blending with the sublimation of art.

On April 11th, the Toong 51 Phan Boi Chau workspace (Hanoi) will once again open its doors to welcome the Autumn Meeting Acting Class. Who knows—the person smiling at you in the hallway today might just be the one telling the story that brings you to tears on the silver screen tomorrow.
